HOSPITALITY STUDIES
Hospitality Studies is a one and half years full time Programme. The programme of study comprises Three normal school terms of full time studies at the College and one six months of industrial attachment. The program aims at producing a technically skilled professional equipped with the necessary interpersonal and technical skills and who can adapt to the dynamic needs of the hospitality.

COURSE DESCRIPTION
The programme comprises of 4 compulsory HEXC NFC courses.
CERTIFICATE IN FOOD PREPARATION
This Course covers all the basics skills needed to produce a competent food handler who is able to plan, prepare and present meals proffessionally.
Course Objective
After completion students should be able to demonstrate through practical skills and right attitudes an understanding of the hygienic preparation and presentation of food in the food and beverage industry.
CERTIFICATE IN FOOD AND BEVERAGE SERVICE
This Course is designed to develop a waiter/bar attendant with the right knowledge , skills and attitudes to satisfy the needs of the Food and Beverage Service sector in the Hospitality Industry
Course Objective
At completion the students will be able to demonstrate through practical skills and right attitudes the service of food and beverages
CERTIFICATE IN BAKERY STUDIES
This course will develop a baker with knowledge, skills and attitudes to satisfy the needs of the Bakery sector.
Course Objective
By the end of the course students should be able to bake products and apply various finishes.
CERTIFICATE IN HOUSEKEEPING
The course will prouce a competent housekeeping personnel relevent knowledge, skills and attitudes to satisfy the needs of the accommodation sector.
Course Objective
By the end of the course students should be able to demonstrate through practical skills and right attitudes an understanding of the importance of comfortable, clean and safe environment in the accommodation sector.
CERTIFICATION
At the completion of this course, the student will be awarded with 4 HEXCO NFC Certificates
